Herwwiyal is going to Sri Lanka for 2 weeks, and will be back late on the 19th, so will not be posting 'til the 21st. Yes, this means the Song Of The Week will not be updated, and my random Userbox additions will temporarily stop, but fear not, for after I return, I will double the randomness of my userpage. See you in a couple of weeks!

MY TMBG HISTORY
After I heard them at my friends house, i got my friend to lend me the CD. I liked all of the tracks, and decided to purchase one of their CDs. After a look on the internet, I decided Dial-A-Song - 20 Years Of They Might Be Giants would be a good one to buy. I arrived a few days later, and I showed it to the friend who introduced them to me, (who actually doesn't really listen to Them anymore). I bought John Henry and Mink Car on the internet, and would have bought The Spine if it was in stock. I found Miscellaneous T in a cheap record store, and downloaded (legally) most of their other albums. I then went on to buy an accordion, which I am trying to learn how to play. Then I got Flood on vinyl at a car boot sale for 20p, which was a bargain, then a week later bought Severe Tire Damage (along with a copy of Pink Floyd's "The Wall") . I wish I known about TMBG before this year, so I could have obtained more albums by now. Ah well.
Not only are TMBG my favourite band, but They also introduced me to a wide range of music. Before I found about Them, all I listened to was Monty Python and Weird Al, basically things that made me laugh. But TMBG made me laugh, and they were serious musicians, and played brilliant music. I asked my friends about more bands, and borrowed some of my Dad's CDs (he has hundreds) and pretty soon I was listening to a whole load of bands, who all of I still listen to. But TMBG are, and will be for a long time, my favourite band. I hope to see them live one day.
