My Murdered Remains is a forthcoming album by They Might Be Giants, confirmed to be in the works on TMBG's free download page on September 11, 2018.
Background
In September 2017, details for the 2018 Instant Fan Club offering were posted and mentioned among other items, the inclusion of two Dial-A-Song albums: "A Disc of Dial-A-Song 2015 Rarities" and "A Disc of All Dial-A-Song 2018 Songs". However, as 2018 progressed and much of the year's Dial-A-Song material consisted of songs from two other 2018 album releases — I Like Fun and the forthcoming The Escape Team — the band decided to consolidate the planned 2015 and 2018 Dial-A-Song discs into this album and a bonus disc.
Flansburgh has stated in Vibe Reports that My Murdered Remains will be available on CD, vinyl and download, but will not be on streaming services such as Spotify.
The album's title is from a lyric in "Mrs. Bluebeard" — "I want to say I learned something valuable today / Alas my murdered remains are incapable of learning anything" — and was originally the working title for I Like Fun, where that song appeared.
