Falling Into the TMBG Rabbithole[edit]

Hi! I'm Dinnerbell209, and I've been a huge TMBG fan since at least 2021. The first TMBG songs I had heard (besides the Mickey Mouse ones) were Particle Man and Birdhouse in Your Soul, maybe when I was around 5 - 6 years old. My dad used to play those two songs in the car.

Didn't care for Birdhouse, fell in love with Particle Man. Of course, times have changed since then-- I now recognize the beauty and magnificence of both songs. Although today I prefer Birdhouse to Particle Man, Particle Man still has a place in my harticle, man.

...Weird joke. I expected that to read better.

I hadn't really acknowledged the band since then. I was aware of their existence, but hadn't been interested enough to check them out on my own. That was, until I stumbled across an animated music video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4mRoPN9qx8 , really great ) about one of my favorite games, LISA the Painful RPG. It was using a strange(?) yet almost familiar song...

I checked the video's description, and found out that it was called "Don't Let's Start" by a band called... Wait, I know that band! I thought. They Might Be Giants! No way! I opened up Spotify and went through their discography, heard the marvelous "Ana Ng", and thus the obsession began.

About Me[edit]

Outside of TMBG, I'm really into drawing, screenwriting, sewing, comics, cartoons, and music in general. I have made myself a few very amateur TMBG plushes; one of the Factory Showroom sign and one of the Mojo Chessmaster. I also have a folder full of drawings that mostly consist of TMBG stuff. Mostly album covers or frames from music videos, with some stuff from other bands I'm into.

Speaking of, some bands I like are Oingo Boingo, The Smiths, The Dead Milkmen, Streetlight Manifesto, Descendents, ALL, Neutral Milk Hotel, Dead Kennedys, Lunachicks, sElf, The Ergs!, Talking Heads, and a few more that I'm forgetting but probably aren't that great anyway.

I also like to play the drums! I think I'm getting good, but I can handle criticism.
