This release was made available exclusively to members of the 2018 They Might Be Giants Instant Fan Club.
Information about some IFC material was originally unavailable on TMBW prior to 2024, but due to the availability of details about these projects elsewhere online, we will be cataloging them going forward in the spirit of remaining an accurate and complete TMBG knowledge base. Per the IFC oath, distributing or requesting IFC-exclusive content is still prohibited.
2018 Live is a live album compiling They Might Be Giants performances recorded at live shows in 2018, released to members of the 2018 Instant Fan Club via CD and download.

While no live recording could do justice to the full experience, which was recently described as "They Might Be Giants with bacon" by an insightful fan, many of the musical highlights unique to this year of shows are captured here. Kudos to our always-stellar band –– Dan Miller on guitar, Danny Weinkauf on bass, Marty Beller on the drums, and the new kid on the bus, Mr. Curt Ramm on trumpet.
The cover image was taken at The Town Ballroom in Buffalo, New York by Jon Brunette in the middle of the Quiet Storm portion of the show. Their super-sized disco ball will always be spinning in our hearts.
The photographs in the CD's foldout liner notes were taken at 2018 They Might Be Giants live shows by Jon Uleis.
