Show setlist vs. Page name

I notice that some of the songs have setlist names that are different than their page name, if you know what I'm talking about. For example, I already turned all the "They Got Lost (The Song)"s into "They Got Lost (Song)"s. Do you think you could turn all the "In The Middle"s into "In The Middle, In The Middle, In The Middle"s? They say "In the Middle" but they redirect to the "In The Middle, In The Middle, In The Middle" page. -invisiblehippo97

I ran Q-Bot to do this replacement but found very few links to "[In The Middle]", only one of which was on a show page. You can confirm that they've been fixed by looking at Special:WhatLinksHere/In The Middle. Any other changes? I can bang these out quickly. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 21:25, 1 December 2014 (EST)
No, that's not what I mean. Here, look at the editing page for the show where the song premiered as an example. It says *[In The Middle, In The Middle, In The Middle|In The Middle] when it should say *[In The Middle, In The Middle, In The Middle]. -invisiblehippo97
i don't think that's actually a problem... Apollo (colloquia!) 21:34, 1 December 2014 (EST)
Well then, do you think you could turn all the "Doctor Kildare"s into "Dr. Kildare"s and all the "Doctor Evil"s into "Dr. Evil"s? (I don't know how many there are so there probably isn't even that many.) - invisiblehippo97
I checked and neither of those are being linked on any setlists. You can check yourself in the future - navigate to the redirect page ([Doctor Kildare]), click the link in "(Redirected from Doctor Kildare)" on top, then click "What links here" in the toolbox (on the left sidebar). -CapitalQtalk ♪ 23:34, 3 December 2014 (EST)
I wasn't talking about setlists, I was just saying in general. I found some on this one song topic page. And I know about the redirect pages; that's a method that I've been using. Except I click on the setlist statistics page after that. (Okay there was only the one reference, but now you made it two!) - invisiblehippo97

Alright, how about this: (This would actually increase the number in the "known performances" counter for a song, so I feel that this is different and perhaps more important.) If you go to the page for "Drink!", the counter says 401 known performances. But, if you type in the word "drink" into the search box, it takes you to the redirect page to "Drink!" and if you click on the setlist search then, it says that "Drink" has 427 known performances. - invisiblehippo97

Nav templates

Just noticed that when the bot added the new nav templates to song pages earlier in the year it skipped all songs from solo projects. I don't know if that was intentional or not. Thought I'd give you a heads up in case it wasn't. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 19:30, 18 June 2015 (EDT)

Spoken Word

Hello Q-Bot! Please update all the individual song pages that have "Talking, Not Singing" as a theme to read "Spoken Word", which is where the link currently redirects to. Thanks! --MisterMe (talk) 09:49, 6 February 2018 (EST)

Museum of Idiots broken links

Hi Q-Bot! Looks like no one's used you in 3 years. I wonder if you can do something for me. Take a look at what I've been doing on the recent changes page. Can you finish the job for me? You know, fixing the Museum of Idiots broken links, changing all the "john"s to "tmbg"s? Thanks Q-Bot! - Invisiblehippo97 (talk) 18:51, 21 September 2018 (EDT)

Would just like to state for the record that I am aware this needs to be done and was planning to do it myself, just haven't gotten the chance yet cos I've been busy. I mean thanks for doing the ones you've done and all, I appreciate it, just, was thinking of it as really my responsibility cos it's my site. --Self Called Nowhere (talk) 18:13, 21 September 2018 (EDT)
I'm not home to do this tonight, but it probably wouldn't be too difficult to write a redirect on your server for the directory if you have an htaccess file. Could help with preserving SEO instead of a graveyard of broken links out there. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 18:20, 21 September 2018 (EDT)
I did write a redirect for the main directory, but I'm not sure how to write one that would be able to work for individual links beyond that. But I can look into it, actually didn't occur to me. --Self Called Nowhere (talk) 18:43, 21 September 2018 (EDT)
You're welcome! Then what should we do? Did you want me to finish it or did you wanna finish it or what? - Invisiblehippo97 (talk) 18:56, 21 September 2018 (EDT)
I mean right now I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to do some kind of global redirect so the old links will keep working and they won't even have to be changed, but I'm just not sure how to make that work--Ant, who uses the same hosting I just switched to, informs me that this hosting doesn't let you use these htaccess files that CapitalQ mentioned, so I'm not sure what other options are available. I'm trying to look into an alternate way to do it but I also have some big projects that absolutely have to get done in the next couple of days so those are taking precedence at the moment--I don't know that this is exactly an emergency or anything. So I mean if you don't have anything more important to do and want to keep working on changing them manually, y'know, be my guest, but I can try to do more to figure out the redirect thing in just a couple of days (or maybe CapitalQ or someone else has a suggestion that doesn't require this htaccess thing?). --Self Called Nowhere (talk) 02:16, 22 September 2018 (EDT)
Was feeling productive doing some wiki work tonight and got Q-Bot up and running again (to fix old redirects, among other things). Had it replace /john/ across the board with /tmbg/ on pages with links to MOI. I did notice a few links no longer existed at either URL though, like some on The Mundanes for example. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 00:23, 24 October 2018 (EDT)
Thank you for taking care of this! I did post in the support forums for my new site host asking if there was anything I could do to create redirects for everything beyond just the main directory on my end and got no replies, so I wasn't sure what to do about it myself. Can you let me know which links are not showing up at all? I might've just changed the filenames or something and I should be able to fix it. --Self Called Nowhere (talk) 02:46, 24 October 2018 (EDT)
Sure thing. Used a script that parsed through the wiki for dead links on pages containing your site's domain, and here's what it turned up! https://pastebin.com/SiNZF4rY -CapitalQtalk ♪ 09:00, 24 October 2018 (EDT)

(Album)

Hi Q-Bot. I have an idea. We take all the albums that have title tracks and give 'em the Old Switcheroo. For instance, we'd rename the page "No!", and title it "No! (Album)", and rename the page No! (Song), and title it "No!". I just kinda think that the (Song) just looks kinda ugly. And we'd do that to every album that has a title track. Thanks, Q-Bot! -- HotelDetectiveInTheFuture

That page title pattern is by design; we assign the main page sans parenthetical to the more notable subject, ie. what we think people are most likely searching for. For example, most people looking for or discussing "Mink Car" are probably thinking of the album, not the song, hence it's easier to get to album pages when there's a shared title. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 11:51, 23 March 2022 (EDT)

Friday night family podcast Vimeo

Hey Q-Bot! It’s me, HotelDetectiveInTheFuture! All episodes of the Friday Night Family Podcast have been uploaded to Vimeo.

I was thinking that on every podcast episode page, you could put the “Watch it on Vimeo” thing, because the downloads don’t work.

EXAMPLE. On, say, Nonagon (Podcast Episode) we would put

Watch it on Vimeo.png

right underneath “Description” and below the Family Podcast Header

I’ve done a few, but I’m frankly too lazy to do ‘em all. Thx, Q-Bot! - HotelDetectiveInTheFuture (talk) 16:23, 26 March 2022 (EDT)

Not In 4-4 Time --> Not In Common Time

Hi. I recently moved the Not In 4-4 Time page to Not In Common Time (because it's actually 4/4 and there's no way of having that without making it a subpage of a non-existent page.)
