Fan Recaps and Comments:
Review by Brad Preston:
REVIEW: An unforgettable night, indeed.
From the opener, James K. Polk to the closer, Istanbul, the Johns really pulled it off. Although the songs were familiar, there was always something slightly different.
A delightful example: during "Particle Man," right before the "Triangle Man hates Person Man" line, Linnells accordion began to project a different, yet oddly familiar, tune. Nobody could quite pinpoint where they'd heard it from until he began to sing "Rollercoaster... of love..." before returning to the regularly scheduled song.
Of course, I have to give props to the opening act, You Were Spiraling.
All in all, a great night.
