Live on KEXP, alternatively referred to as Live at KEXP Seattle, is an upcoming live album from They Might Be Giants initially releasing for Black Friday Record Store Day 2026.
Description[edit]
The album is a limited edition vinyl release of the band's 2025 appearance on Seattle radio station KEXP, which was also recorded for YouTube. As an RSD First release, its initial pressing run of 1,000 numbered copies on "mustard+bone" colored vinyl will be released to record stores on November 27, 2026, but the band may elect to press additional runs later independently.
Description from the Record Store Day website:[1]
TMBG performed live at the KEXP Seattle studios on June 16, 2025. Featuring their 8-piece live band including a 3-piece horn section, this recording is an outstanding encapsulation of a TMBG live show. Mixed and mastered by longtime TMBG engineer Scott Bozack and full of hit songs like Ana Ng, Doctor Worm, and Particle Man, this is a collector's dream.
Description from the TMBG mailing list:
Every now and then a live appearance has an intensity and a musicality that captures the band at a peak moment. This live set is one of those experiences. From the moment this session went over the airwaves, people were talking. Now it is available in a very special numbered edition of 1000 for Record Store Day.
