About the Good S.S. Mare[edit]

I'm Hash or Mare. You've probably seen me around other places, hi. At the time of writing this I'm 17 years old, and my birthday is a Mono Puff reference. When I'm not toiling away at my desk in the school pool, I'm listening to/making music, watching TV, drawing, animating, programming, a combination of one or more of these, or something else entirely. It's nice to meet you!

Trivia[edit]

I have a really cool twin sister.
I also have a friend a year older than me who has the same name as me.(TMBG REFERENCE?!?!?!) They're really cool too and a great artist.
I was The Man With No Name from the video game The Town With No Name for Halloween last year.
Other than collecting TMBG stuff, I also collect instruments, sometimes of the strange and odd variety.
There's a fruit fly buzzing around my computer while I'm writing. Too tired to kill it.
I like to cook and make cakes. I'm not always the greatest at it.

About TMBG[edit]

My story is that I've been into They Might Be Giants since I was but a little lass. I owned and listened to all of their kid's albums, and I remember my Mom made me a Here Comes Science t-shirt out of puffy paint(If I ever find it or at least a picture of it, I'm definitely posting it). I don't remember when I stopped being crazy about it, but my interest in TMBG was put on the back burner at some point for a few years.

My RECENT story starts at the Attic Record Store in Pittsburgh in about 2021-2022 or so. I was looking for a CD to fulfill my one-item-at-every-store-I-visit quota, and was filing through every artist whose name rang a bell. Lo and behold, I found the box full of TMBG stuff. I brought home Lincoln(Recognized Ana Ng and dug the album art), and it collected dust my room for about four months... Whoops...

Once I finally put the album in my CD player, it took no time whatsoever for me to fall in love with it. It was (basically) new to me, but nothing before had really resonated with me like Lincoln did. After every song, after SONG, after SONG I became more fascinated with the band and their music.

Once that hour and so-and-such minutes were over, I decided to listen to more of their music, watch their music videos, read more about them, and then eventually attend one of their shows and meet wonderful people who like TMBG too over the internet and real life.
