Trivia/Info

  • This track is based on the spoken-word piece "Phantom 309" by Red Sovine (also see Rabid Child). In Sovine's work, the hitchhiking narrator gets a ride from a truck driver. He finds out later at a truck stop that the driver had died 10 years before.
  • Teek and Vee's (now called Quickway Diner[1]) is an actual restaurant in Bloomingburg, NY just off Highway 17. It has been open since the 1950s.
  • The Ken Kesey bus was a hippie road-trip vehicle, famous for its bright colors and for its riders' psychedelic drug use.
