Fan Recaps and Comments:
- An excellent and unique show! Of all the songs on Flood, there was something strange about seeing Sapphire Bullets of Pure Love played live — I pretty much never expected to see that in my lifetime. The Flood show was glorious and Ralph Carney added the sorely missed horns...in fact They should just hire a full-time horns player. It's what I miss the most in their recent stuff.
- On top of the Flood awesomeness, They managed to sneak in (not really in order):
- Meet the Elements
- James K. Polk
- How Does the Sun Shine?
- Cowtown
- Damn Good Times
- Shoehorn With Teeth
- Drink!
- Ana Ng
- The Mesopotamians
- New York City
- along with a hilarious John & John videocam interlude with two sock puppets, who coincidentally have their own TMBG cover band named The Avatars. The Avatars apparently plan to have an original album out in 2010, tentatively titled "Rock Out With Your Sock Out."
- Overall one of the best TMBG shows I've seen, these guys just keep getting better live. I'm not wild about the Vic in general, but They put on a good one despite that.
