Interpretation 1[edit]
Those people that just skirt the hive memory have a funny way of poping up in our insanity. I would say that this girl had a fascination with unknown people so that she might live in their late greatness, now overtaking that which was the girl. --Webwiz1986 05:32, April 16, 2005
Interpretation 2[edit]
I originally thought this song was just about a girl who liked to pretend she was someone famous, but looking at the lyrics it becomes clear that she's crazy ("she was talking to herself...it was complicated and it stuck in my mind"). I guess this is pretty obvious from the fact that Flans screams "SHE'S LOST HER MIND!", but frankly it's hard to understand what he's saying. --AaronSw 16:11, April 18, 2005
Interpretation 3[edit]
I know people like this... they're not crazy, just stupid! Armicron 18:24, 18 July 2006 (UTC)armicron
Interpretation 4[edit]
On one level it's just a fun story about a girl who thinks she's an obscure show-business figure, but on the other it's about that feeling you get when you return to what was familiar and find it changed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.131.251.91 (talk • contribs) 17:40, January 22, 2007
Interpretation 5[edit]
i love the effect of the guy yelling "one more" and yet there is no sound of audience or anything, which gives the illusion of an unpopular band with little or no audience. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.106.251.40 (talk • contribs) 00:36, January 31, 2009
- Who yells that? He sounds remarkably like my dad. --MetalDetector 19:38, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
- Perhaps Flans, after which he accidentally ate the bug. :-) --MisterMe 16:25, 14 November 2012 (EST)
Interpretation 6[edit]
Can somebody say "mid-life crisis"? Good. Now picture a 26-year-old going through one, but also confused with her self-identity. She doesn't know who she is and has essentially lost her mind trying to find herself. 0dd1 05:06, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
Obsessiveness and Insanity[edit]
I feel like this song is about obsessiveness and insanity. I feel like it's about someone trying their hardest to be like their idol, or try to become them. The title of the song itself shows how that someone can think they're their own idol. Most of the lyrics show insanity.
The lyrics: "The accent in her speech / She didn't have growing up", could show that someone's idol's accent could develop into that someone's habits of speaking.
The lyric: "She was talking to herself." could show that someone is slowly going insane, as well as the lyric: "SHE'S LOST HER MIND!".
Overall, this song is mostly about obsessiveness and insanity. Mrs.Xcitement (talk)
