Shows Where John Flansburgh Sang "I Held Your Hand, You Held Mine", Rather Than "You Held My Hand, I Held Yours" During New York City

When the song, New York City, is being performed live, John Flansburgh is known to change up the song by replacing the 4th line of the 2nd verse with, "You held my hand, I held yours, it was the best night of my life". In my opinion, that makes the song sound a bit awkward, and it does not stay true the original version of the song. However, Flansy is known to keep the album version of the line, and preserve the awesomeness of the song. These occurrences are rare. Very, very rare. And they will be documented here.

Videos are linked to start at the verse, "We met in the springtime..."

*Flansy is also known to screw up the song by singing "King Kong" instead of "Dylan" during the third verse, but the times when he sings "Dylan" is much more common than this. As much as I hate it when he sings "King Kong", the "Dylan" references are too common to be documented along with this.

"DYLAN!!" notates that Flansy also sang "Dylan" instead of "King Kong" at the concert.
