Talk:They Got Lost (Song)
aren't there two different versions of "They Got Lost" the song? There is one where he sings it really slow and the other not (and also on severe tire damage) - droffats
- I guess. I deleted this from the video section for "They Got Lost (Song)" because there seem to be two different versions. I could make another page for you if I get permission. Or someone who knows what they're doin' could make another page. -- Buzzmusic100 ("Keep your voice down...")
- That video was live. They play it differently live, for instance, on the STD recording. There are already two pages. The video could be on either page, really, it's basically the same song. I don't know, though, perhaps there's another version I've never heard that is totally separate. That wouldn't surprise me. Also, sign talk page comments. -Apollo -discuss!- 22:14, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, the fast one's live and features the excellent bass work of Hal Cragin, but sadly no Eric Schermerhorn. Does anyone know who "Julie at the station might be" (is she real?), and whether she's the same Julie Cohen who sings harmony on Hall Of Heads? Just curious. -- Octofish
- I believe she's a DJ in Boston, but I can't remember her last name. She hasn't done any work with them as far as I know. --Self Called Nowhere 22:37, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Trivia/info[edit]
The third line of the Trivia/Info, "Julie at the station"..., seams to not make sense. I would attempt to fix it myself, but I have no clue what message it is trying to convey. -- DidgeGuy (आ ज) 14:18, 20 August 2010
- I think it makes sense. -- Buzzmusic100 ("Keep your voice down...")
- Uh, what? --Self Called Nowhere 19:17, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- They're not real giants (well actually I can't say for certain). I'll fix it. ~ magbatz 21:45, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
Ode to Billie Joe[edit]
I just heard "Ode to Billie Joe" on the radio and it occurred to me over the next hour as I was singing it to myself that "They Got Lost" is strikingly similar, musically. I'm curious if anyone else has noticed this / has thoughts on this?
