Talk:No!

From This Might Be A Wiki

Are there any NO! album rejects known, other than Clowntown, Monsters Of Mud and I Am A Human Head?

Video Speculation[edit]

One of the notes at the bottom of this page says that "Live bonus videos featuring the band were also shot for Sleepwalkers and Four of Two but have not been released." What does everyone think--is it just me, or was the "unreleased" Sleepwalkers video most likely actually released as Sleepwalkers (Here Come The ABCs CD/DVD Bonus Track) on the CD/DVD combo version of Here Come The ABCs? ~Drew

Actually, I guess I should watch this Sleepwalkers video again to see if Marty is in it. If he is, I guess it would disprove my above-stated theory that the video was filmed at the time No! was recorded (since Dan Hickey was the drummer at that time). ~Drew
Just for the record, the drummer in the ABCs video is Marty, so it can't be the same video. It's a shame. ~ blitzente (talk) 20:52, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Bonus Video by the Chopping Block[edit]

When you view the "credit" section of the enhanced content on this CD, it says: "All design and illustration by the Chopping Block, Inc. For more see giantkid.net or come by and see us online for a bonus TMBG video! choppingblock.com/tmbg." However, I've never been able to view this bonus video. Has anyone on here ever been able to? And if so, what was it a video of? And has it been released anywhere else since? I've tried three or so times to view the video, with different results each time. When I first got the CD several years ago and tried the URL, I think I got some sort of "coming soon" message. I tried again shortly thereafter, and the new message was something to the effect of "Come back later. We need to do work for our paying customers first." And I've tried again recently only to get the dreaded 404 "Not Found--The requested document was not found on this server" message. Can anyone else shed any light on this situation? ~Drew

No one out there has any ideas/info? :( ~Drew
I don't know. The only thing I can think of is that the link was only up for a period of time and then took it off - Goodtimes2

Track 18?[edit]

When I put this in my computer, which uses iTunes as a player, right after Sleepwalkers is a track 18. It isn't clickable, isn't named (it's only listed as Track 18), but it shows runtime as 1:29. Any help would be awesome. --Bubso 06:23, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

My iTunes doesn't show an 18th track, but I also haven't installed the newest version of iTunes yet, so that might be why. My guess, though, would be that it's the enhanced CD content somehow showing up as an 18th track? Maybe? ~Drew
That sounds about right. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 21:32, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Probably-- one time when I put in another enhanced CD (something by Barenaked Ladies) it had an extra track at the end about 5 minutes long, which you couldn't do anything with.

What Drew said about the enhanced CD content sounds right. I found out that after it's done playing Sleepwalkers the counter keeps going for the 1:29.--Bubso 01:14, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

It's the version of "Oranges" that plays in the Flash animation.

Re-release - digital only?[edit]

It says that the re-release will be digital only, where did this come from? Nothing I find says anything about it being digital only. -Joltman 08:43, 4 June 2012 (EDT)

From the band's management and PR companies. --Duke33 08:45, 4 June 2012 (EDT)
Is there an official press release somewhere? Not that I don't believe you, I'm just curious. -Joltman 19:21, 6 June 2012 (EDT)
Not a full blown press release yet, no. Not sure if there will be one, or not. --Duke33 09:26, 7 June 2012 (EDT)

FYI: I did the initial work on updating the Wikipedia article to include the bonus tracks...someone with a bit more time and wiki-skills might want to think about making it look better. :-) --MisterMe 16:33, 27 June 2012 (EDT)

Is anyone else sad that they didn't at least include "Monsters of Mud" as a bonus track on the deluxe edition? :( Drew 22:21, 2 December 2012 (EST)

In the Middle video[edit]

Possibly of interest to no one, but I used to have the advance release of No! and it had the alternate In the Middle video on it. I don't have it anymore. I know this was 12 years ago, but I swear. --Sonderling (talk) 22:38, 28 January 2015 (EST)

this sounds plausible enough, but some verification would be nice. 12 years is a long time! Apollo (colloquia!) 23:04, 28 January 2015 (EST)
i popped my no! advance in last night and it has the normal video. is the promo you're referring to the one in the plastic clamshell case? --ant 12:12, 29 January 2015 (EST)
Thanks for checking, because I was curious about that one. The one I had came in a regular jewel case with no liners. I can't remember if it had an info sheet on the back, so it could have been the clamshell issue repackaged by the seller for some reason, in which case I guess I'm really misremembering. I got it on eBay shortly before No! came out. --Sonderling (talk) 13:07, 29 January 2015 (EST)
