Could you please cut and paste excactly what the newsletter says, please?

Done! Sorry for the delay, got the info froma a friend at Disney, who just sent me a scan. --Mongoose

Haha!! Look how SCARY Linnell looks in that picture!! You'd think Disney would've wanted a less intimidating picture of the giants. - Doctor Masonstein

"Alphabet songs." I think we can be certain that L M N O will be on this! --An orangutan

I guess we'll finally get those Q and Z songs that have left gaping holes in the song list ... BigJohn

Hey, yeah! Their whole career has been building up to this. (And now it won't be so much like a phone book.) --An orangutan

I was there today. They played a few songs from the DVD including "Fake Believe" and one called "Alphabet of Nations".

Alphabet of Nations has been added to the song list, but anyone who recalls even lyrical smidgens (and who sang), add 'em in. --Mongoose

I just added the lyrics, singers and a trivia. -TDK

If this album is related to the alphabet, perhaps Bloodmobile will be on it. After all, the ID3 Album tag on the free MP3 is "ABC." Hmm...

9/1: Possibly, but what does the song have to do with the alphabet? -TVsKyle

Absolutely nothing. I just noticed "ABC" as the ID3 tag, and ABC (the television network) doesn't seem to have anything to do with the exhibit it was originally written for.

9/3: I just got an email newsletter (and many of you probably did too) that said that the kids' DVD is going to be called "Here Come The ABCs." I'm guessing this is correct? If it is, maybe someone could change the title of the Kid's DVD page to that, because I don't know how. --My Evil Twin's Twin

I'm guessing so; I just made a page for it. I basically just copied this page and replaced "Kid's DVD" with "Here Come The ABCs". I guess we could just copy this discussion page into there, and just leave this page behind. And here it is! -magbatz

10/21/2004 - Just watched the three short clips of "Alphabet of Nations," "QU," and "Who Put The Alphabet...", and was wondering - is it just me, or do Q and U look like they could be Flans and Linnell in "Q" and "U" hatmaskthings? -- Rhinoceros Rex

Mister Quipster: Linnell is so funny. "If you have a four-year-old or if you just want a refresher course on the alphabet, it's one to pick up." My LOL for the day so far. amyloo

It turns out that the album title ends in an exclamation point so I created a new page and moved everything here. It works out well, since there's a title track minus the exclamation I just turned the old page into the new song page. I also completed the track list based on a promo CD. I had one of the titles wrong; 'X' is actually called 'I C U'.-TDK

What's on the promo CD and who received copies of it? - wt

The same tracks that are on the actual album. I also now have the advance DVD. I just added some vocal credits, including Marty Beller on Alphabet Lost And Found and Henry Linnell on Letter/Not A Letter-TDK 14:02, 18 Jan 2005 (EST)

Some of the tracks need to be renamed, due mostly to puncuation and spacing errors. Can somebody please make the new pages and move the info over, fix all the links to them and mark the old ones for deletion? Here's what needs to be changed. -TDK 14:02, 18 Jan 2005 (EST)

For starters, I was wrong.. the album name doesn't end in an exclamation point. We need three seperate pages for Here Come The ABCs. The CD, the DVD and the song. The tracklist for the DVD can be copied from Amazon.

Could someone please give details on on th Amazon bonus tracks? I would preffer to buy the CD and DVD directly from the band, but I want to know what I would be missing first. By the way, I think making the CD available in FLAC was one of the best things they've ever done for the download site. -Augie 10:49, 15 Feb 2005 (EST)

I'm I the only one who thinks that "Goodnight" is a direct parody of "Goodnight" the last song on the beatles white album? - chad

Registered just to ask this: can anyone tell me how to distinguish between the DVD releases - in particular, the one that contains the live-action video for "I C U" vs. the one that contains the animated one? - microwiz 22:55, 27 Mar 2008 (PDT)

I don't own them both so I can't guarantee that this is right, but according what someone said on ICU's discussion page, it seems that the Amazon.com CD/DVD bundle is the one that includes the live-action video. I would assume that means the alternate release of the DVD (meaning the DVD on its own) would have on it the other video. According to this very article, "After the initial success of the separate DVD and CD releases of ABCs, Disney released a new DVD/CD combo version of the set through Amazon on October 25, 2005, containing additional videos on the DVD (a different video for "I C U", and exclusive in-studio performances of "Robot Parade" and "Sleepwalkers"), and both exclusive CD bonus tracks in one place ("I Never Go To Work" and "Hovering Sombrero '05")." Hopefully that answers your question! ~ magbatz 08:40, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
If it helps, I have both and can confirm that is every bit true. Animation on the DVD. Live action on the CD/DVD. --Luke 15:16, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
I just received my Amazon CD/DVD set and can confirm, though the menu shows the 'X' character from the animated ICU video, the video is the live-action one. Yay! Thanks for all the help! - microwiz 17:35, 2 Apr 2008 (PDT)

Help with screenshots[edit]

Can someone either help with uploading screenshots from some of the videos, for the songs that don't have them yet? Either that, or if you can tell me how to take a screenshot from my computer, that would be great. I've tried taking a screenshot of the dvd on my computer, but apparently windows must have some copyright management stuff in there that won't let you take a screenshot of a dvd...Is there a way to get around that? --Duke33 16:59, 23 Feb 2005 (EST)

I use PowerDVD from Cyberlink for DVD screen captures with no problems like that. Download it here: http://www.gocyberlink.com/multi/download/dl_file_new.jsp?ProdId=1 -TDK

You're problem is probably that you've got hardware acceleration set above zero (which is where you want it when you're not taking DVD screenshots). To change it right click the desktop and select Properties to bring up the Display Properties. In the Settings tab, click Advanced, and turn the slider on the Troubleshoot tab all the way down. That should let you use the print screens key and paste that grab into an image editor. Don't forget to set the slider back up when you're done. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 14:29, 26 Feb 2006 (CST)

DVD regions[edit]

I would be grateful if information about DVDs also includes region. The industry has decided that you can only use DVDs meant for your country or region so that they can charge more in countries where people have more money while still being able to make a profit in poor countries. Hence it's very important to know where to get the right DVD (because otherwise it won't play). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.185.21.219 (talkcontribs) 11:17, 2 August 2012

for now i think it's pretty safe to assume that the DVD produced in your region will play in your region, however, regions should probably be included in release details for DVDs. i can't really do anything about it since i don't even own the US copy of the album, though... -Apollo (colloquia!) 13:59, 2 August 2012 (EDT)

Regular CD with cat no. 5008 61265-9[edit]

Is this thing even real? I have been able to find a grand total of 0 CDs with this cat no. online, all of them (excluding BB, Amazon, and combo versions) have a cat no.of 5008 61204-7

Deletion for Puppet Johns pages[edit]

I feel like we should delete the Puppet Johns dialogue pages (Introducing The Vowel Family, Introducing C Is For Conifers, etc.) They're not really interesting, and are practically useless. Either that or have a big master page that lists all the Here Comes interludes. - HotelDetectiveInTheFuture🪗 talk 🎸 20:36, 25 June 2022 (EDT)

I agree. Same for Deranged Millionaire segments. There should just be a master page, it doesn't make sense that these have entire song pages when the Scientist Johns dialogue isn't even catalogued on this wiki at all. --ColorOfInfinity (talk) 23:22, 25 June 2022 (EDT)
I have made a kind of demo page for what this master page would look like. User:HotelDetectiveInTheFuture/Here Comes Interludes. (It needs a better name.) - HotelDetectiveInTheFuture🪗 talk 🎸 12:12, 26 June 2022 (EDT)

No references?[edit]

I love the background info about the creation of this album and its DVD videos, but there's no references here at all in this entire page, neither are there many references for the background info of No!. Does anyone know where the sources for this info come from? All I know is that a couple are from Tumblr asks. - Mrsomebodyelse (talk) 08:17, 25 May 2024 (EDT)

I believe much of it comes from independent research via email/interviews conducted by users Nicholasname and Tanline666 as part of a documentary effort about this album, which I look forward to seeing when it's ready. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 15:27, 27 May 2024 (EDT)
Ah yes, I've heard about that doc. Some of the info used for that does come from some Tumblr asks which were integrated into this page's background section, so I can probably go back and manually add those references into this page. Just curious about No! though, is that part of the docmentary as well? There's some info in its history about album rescheduling as well as the sessions but there's no sources cited for that either. Some of them I do think come from alt.music.tmbg though. A few other album pages I've seen don't have sources either, but I'm guessing it's because the information relates more to the albums than what happened surrounding them. - Mrsomebodyelse (talk) 18:51, 27 May 2024 (EDT)
To my understanding the scope of their research has outgrown the ABCs and extended to the other kid's albums (and beyond), and it does look like Tanline666 added the information you're describing to the No! page. I would love if those facts could be cited, though! -CapitalQtalk ♪ 20:56, 28 May 2024 (EDT)
