Mrsbluebeard: Just wanted to highlight a few memorable details from this one:
- They brought some new lights out for this leg of the show, which I was a big fan of. They brought a lot of visual interest but also were not blindingly obtrusive in the front row the way some of their other lights have been.
- A different sort of Spy from anything I've ever seen before—they skipped a Linnell-led improv section completely, and while the band was still playing, Flans cued Marty in to immediately transition to Birdhouse. Very fun and very unexpected. (As noted in the setlist, we also got another Token Back To Brooklyn interlude!)
- I was wondering whether Linnell might do the Here You Come Again interlude during Particle Man at this show, since it was the first concert following Dolly Parton's passing last month. It made for a very moving end of the show.
