Fan Recaps and Comments:
Flans introduced LTHR and EF as "Brand New Old Songs"
The Sun was sung with British accents
Real fun, and funny show. The band was totally out of it - flubbed lines/notes everywhere, with hilarious results. There was one point in the song where Linnell sang the wrong line, and instead of singing the next line, he shook his head and sang "no, that's not it!" The band commented that if there were any music critics in the audience, their career was basically over. Flansburgh spent almost the entire show kneeling down and tuning his guitars. He kept trying to get Dan Miller to do his scat-rock singing, which he finally did, as a VOCAL solo to the beginning of Istanbul (which kept getting interrupted with very loud bass notes). The band did an amazing performance of Turn Around, that was twice as rocking as usual. I was disappointed after I got home to find out that they only played Climbing The Walls at the early show, but I still got to hear 6 songs for the first time. Apparently the show got cut short due to a 1AM curfew (the band went on 7 minutes late since the stagehands were running around like crazy getting things set up)...anybody know what was on the remainder of the setlist?
"Everything on the sun is a total gas - Peter Noone, Davy Jones, that guy from HR Pufnstuf" --Richegreen 15:57, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
The remaining two songs on the setlist were "The Mesopotamians" and "Climbing the Walls". Also every member of the band Tally Hall attended this show. --HeyErikLeafinson 04:29, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
