Common Rotation did a cover of "Hey, Mr. DJ" that naturally went over well.

John and John performed "Man, It's So Loud In Here" as a duo with a backing track. Still onstage alone they, on the spot, decided to do "Maybe I Know". Linnell suggested performing it with a beat off of his Dr. Sample Flansburgh didn't seem into the idea but Linnell just began punching buttons. After spending some time cycling through some very dinky beats to Flansburgh's visible annoyance, Flansburgh said, "More like 'Dr. Quiet Storm'".
