Marcel Dzama
Marcel Dzama is a Canadian-born, Brooklyn-based graphic artist who has collaborated with They Might Be Giants on multiple occasions. He illustrated TMBG's book Bed, Bed, Bed in 2003, and in 2007 designed the album artwork for The Else.
Dzama created the costumes and took all of the photographs for the album. One of the photos was posted onto TMBG's MySpace page on March 27th of 2007. One of the characters, the tree, was used previously in Dzama's work.[2] Some theorize that the other characters in the photo may be portrayed by Danny Weinkauf and Dan Miller, though this is unconfirmed.
His artwork "has been seen in art galleries all over the world," and he is often attributed as being one of the youngest artists ever to achieve a cult following. He has been contributed works to McSweeney's magazines. A photo of Dzama from his childhood is featured on the back cover of the Bed, Bed, Bed.
