Leaked 1999 Studio Tape

The Leaked 1999 Studio Tape is a bootlegged collection of songs and demos from the mid-to-late '90s.

The tape was apparently compiled by an audio engineer working with They Might Be Giants around 1999, and contains numerous unheard recordings including what appear to be home demo recordings made by John Linnell, as well as demos from Factory Showroom and Mink Car, Dial-A-Song, wax cylinder recordings, and some ads by TMBG. While initially distributed among a small circle of friends for a few decades, the tape publicly surfaced on a filesharing application in November 2021.
