Trivia/Info
- John Flansburgh described the song in a 1998 press release: "DJ Five Star Spicy lets his freak flag fly on this track. In the interest of name-dropping, Joe McGinty is playing Donald Fagen's electric piano - without permission I might add, which we uncovered while working at Fagen's studio ['River Sound']."
- The "Pounds of sound" clip is a sample of Morgan Freeman as DJ Mel Mounds, from the 1972 soundtrack LP of the children's television series The Electric Company.
- At live shows, this song was often played as an introduction for Sister Puff, Lady Puff and Sugar Puff.
- The line "Not only but especially for the ladies" was sampled by DJ Lord Fader in their 1998 remix of Coldcut's "More Beats and Pieces", which was released on Coldcut's "Let Us Replay!" EP.
