- John Linnell's House Of Mayors is released through the Hello CD Of The Month Club in August.
- Factory Showroom is released on October 8, TMBG's sixth album and the last on the Elektra label.
- On November 26, the S-E-X-X-Y EP is released. It is the only EP to come from Factory Showroom.
- TMBG are interviewed and recorded performing for Kit Kat Acoustic Break, a series of promo CDs intended for college radio stations.
- John Linnell attends and performs at the Missionary/Mercenary: The Accordion in the Workplace accordion seminar.
