Amy Rigby
From This Might Be A Wiki
Amy Rigby is a New York-based singer-songwriter who has been covered by Mono Puff.
John Flansburgh first heard Rigby playing her tune "Don't Break The Heart" alongside a few NYC artists, including Laura Cantrell (who later covered Rigby's song on her 2002 album When the Roses Bloom Again). Mono Puff covered the song on the album Unsupervised in 1996. Jay Sherman-Godfrey played electric guitar on both Mono Puff's version of the song and on the original version, which can be found on Rigby's most critically acclaimed album, 1996's Diary of a Mod Housewife.
Amy was married to dB's drummer and Hello artist Will Rigby, from whom she gets her surname, for much of the 1980s and 90s. She was also a contributor to the Loser's Lounge.
