Katrina Benefit concert. TMBG showed up about halfway through the show. Every band played a short set. Eiffel Tower wasn't bad, but the other acts were weak. TMBG was definitely the best thing there. I would say a good portion of the audience were not from the "core" of TMBG fans. They responded well. Marty, Danny, and Dan were with the Johns for this show. They played a longer set than most of the other bands. It was a great show. The Johns had more energy than they normally do on the big tours. They were both in a great mood. There were pot jokes, of course. Flans referred to Linnell as "DJ Squiggy." At one point, Linnell said that everyone was yelling too much and that they would play really soft as punishment. They played Experimental Film at an extremely low volume, which was amusing. Huzzah!
