- This mix of the demo recording released on the 1985 Demo Tape features the addition of an extra "I don't think it's fair" vocal overdub by John Flansburgh in the first chorus, and a lone guitar line at the beginning of the song. John Linnell's "Youth culture" outro vocals also continue through to the fadeout, instead of ending before Flansburgh's last vocal lines. This mix also raises the volume of the additional horn overdubs in the song's second verse.
