I really like this image. It was my server-specific profile pic on the TMBW Discord for a while.

Hi! I'm SeaIntoTheLandem, but my real name is Genesis. You can still call me Sea, though. TMBG came into my life when I was just 4 years old, or maybe younger. One of my earliest memories is of hearing Birdhouse In Your Soul, and it is also one of if not THE first (non nursery rhyme) song I remember knowing some of the lyrics to! For my 9th (I think?) birthday, my parents got me an iPod Nano loaded with a ton of songs, including a select few TMBG songs, of which I got obsessed with all of them. Unfortunately, I lost that iPod within the next year, and since the replacement I got did not get the songs loaded back on, I kind of lost interest. Fast-forward to June of 2024, I was obsessed with specifically Birdhouse In Your Soul, and upon being able to recall all of the lyrics to Istanbul despite not hearing it for years, I decided to listen to Flood. And ever since then, They Might Be Giants have been firmly cemented as my favorite band of all time.

I have seen TMBG three times so far, and will be seeing them three more times in 2026!

I have an ever-growing physical TMBG collection!

I primarily collect CDs, but I do also like vinyl. (CDs are just more versatile, yknow? Also cheaper. That definitely helps.) I prefer to buy my physical music secondhand and in person, because the thrill of the hunt is much more fun than clicking "pay" on an online shop. I will obviously buy new stuff, like Beast Of Horns, online, though! The #1 TMBG related thing I want to find is Mink Car, preferably the 2001 CD release!

My favorite TMBG albums are, um, all of them. And my favorite TMBG songs? Don't get me started! I picked only a few of each so that the babel container is not 813 miles long.

Oh, and, naturally, TMBW is one of my favorite websites. But I won't get mushy about the community here.

I'm in a band. Kind of. We don't have any songs out, and I'm the only member... but I'm working on it!
