Tiny Toons. That's where it all began. I was among that first wave of young fans baited by the funny and creative videos for "Particle Man" and "Istanbul." Where those songs lured me into listening to Flood, "Birdhouse" was what secured me as a fan. The rest of the album came slower to me; as such a young fan it was all a little much at the time. Fast forward to 2001, and I finally attend my first show after wanting to for most of the 90's. After 9/11, it was Their first show, and they came complete with the Velcro Horns. I came complete with a backstage pass. My first show and I'd scored solid gold. I moved from the NY area to Boston some years later and I eagerly await the tour dates being posted. I've seen Them as much as I can. More than others, less than others still, but each time as special as can be. They are a band that just makes me feel comfortable, happy, warm. I like plenty of other bands, other genres, but nothing feels like a TMBG show. Nothing feels like TMBG music.

I sadly lost a lot of memorabilia in a fire in 2008, including a signed poster (which was a mailing from the band in the late 90's or early 2000's that unfolded into a poster) and other things. I'm pretty sure my Specialty Records Test Pressing was among the casualties, but I hold out hope that someday I'll find it again. To that end, I've been rebuilding my TMBG collection. Here's what I'm pretty sure I have:
