New Templates?[edit]

I'm still fairly new to wiki-type things, I was wondering what the process would be (if one exists) for adding a template to this wiki, if it's one that's become fairly standard on Wikipedia. I had assumed that all the nifty little things I use over on Wikipedia would work here, until moments ago when I tried to mark a comment as unsigned using this template, on the "Puppet Head" talk page After some tinkering and searching, I realized that for now I'd have to do it manually, but I think it would be a useful addition to the site, and I'd like to know what the chances are of other useful wiki templates being incorpoarted here. - uglinessman 16:16, 13 May 2006 (CDT)

Wikipedia is running on a beta of MediaWiki 1.7, while we're still on MW 1.4. Eventually we'll gain a bunch of new templates when we get around to switching hosts (if still necessary) and upgrading MediaWiki. The Unsigned template was created by users of Wikipedia (exactly one year ago) because they felt it necessary to indentify some of the thousands upon thousands of unsigned posts. Things are a bit different here; if a registered user didn't sign a post they'll usually go back and fix it immediately. If a non-registered user posts, they probabaly wrote something short and didn't sign it because they felt it didn't need to be signed, and odds are, it didn't. We can always check the history of a page to see when and who posted it, anyway. As for creating a template, all you have to do is make a new page that starts with Template:, but you should probabaly check with an admin like myself first to decide whether it's really needed or not. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 16:30, 13 May 2006 (CDT)

How do I upload a picture onto the wiki? --MetalDetector 22:34, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

There should be an "Upload file" link on the left side of the page, beneath the search box. --ant 23:06, 29 July 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I didn't see that.

Is there a way to put a non-TMBW file on a page and make it a certain size? -- Buzzmusic100 ("Keep your voice down...")

You'd probably have to use an image tag, like this: <img src="..." height="..." width="..."> --Duke33 15:43, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Thank you!
And uh... is there a way to make a userpage different in monobook than in azure? -- Buzzmusic100 ("Keep your voice down...")
{{#ifeq:{{#skin:}}|skin name|content that will appear using this skin|content that will appear otherwise}} --ant 19:06, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
Thank you!
On second thought, never mind. I wanted it to look different when it's azure but actually it's unnecessary. But thanks! PS This edit was done with monobook unlike most of my edits! -- Buzzmusic100 ("Keep your voice down...")
I don't know why, but you seem much handsomer in this edit/post than all your others. I don't know what you're doing, but keep it up. ~ magbatz 04:58, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

Creating A Page For My TMBG Projects.[edit]

I wanted to create a page with all of my TMBG projects and TMBG-inspired songs. Could someone tell me what I should do to create a page for my TMBG projects? Ms. Xcitement (talk) 10:31, 23 January 2023 (EST)

Create a sub-userpage. Example, [[User:Bluecanaryalex/TMBG Projects]] and then link to it from your main userpage. Hope this helps. - HotelDetectiveInTheFuture🪗 talk 🎸
Thanks! Ms. Xcitement (talk) 09:31, 24 January 2023 (EST)
Oh, I also had another question. Could I create a completely new page from a non-existing page and make it a page for my projects? Ms. Xcitement (talk) 09:38, 26 January 2023 (EST)
