Talk:Doom Doom
From This Might Be A Wiki
Hmm this was for that Morpguh's 3rd anniversary: http://www.aq.com/events/tmbg/
Also for what it's worth, I think the line is in fact "It's a rocket from the tomb". ~ magbatz 12:22, 15 October 2011 (EDT)
This is listed as "Doppelgängers of They" on the track listing on the Merch Page of tmbg.com. --KathyK 22:04, 28 October 2011 (EDT)
- It was listed as that on the stream from paste magazine, but it's "doom doom" in the digibook and the file itself, so i think it's safe to keep that and maybe just add a redirect? -Apollo (colloquia!) 22:06, 28 October 2011 (EDT)
- Interesting. I hadn't yet opened the digibook. The File is called "Doom Doom" but when I open it, iTunes lists it as "Doppelgängers of They". Hmm... --KathyK 22:16, 28 October 2011 (EDT)
- Going to say that the PDF booklet (soon to be CD liner notes) takes precedence over MP3 tags here. -CapitalQ ♫ talk ♪ 22:32, 28 October 2011 (EDT)
- Wow. That's fair enough. But, is there a reason you feel the need to half-read things and be then dismissive about stuff that people bring up? As I initially mentioned, the reason I brought it up is that TMBG listed it under the other title ON THEIR WEBSITE. Again, I don't care what the title ultimately ends up being here, and you may have reason for dismissing their website, but it's insulting when you belittle me by only citing my second comment about the mp3 tag. You and people like you are the reason I do not regularly participate on this site.
- For what it's worth, I believe this alternate title should at least be mentioned in the Trivia section.--Ehsteve14 02:28, 1 November 2011 (EDT)

I didn't think his comment was belittling, perhaps you're readin into it?
Cool outtake[edit]
I can see why they rejected this from Join Us but this is a really neat throwaway. The disturbing "Doppelgängers" are referenced, yet I like it. Hearkens back to the more experimental stuff, some of which made it onto the proper album. The "bomb in your hair" part is quite funny! --MisterMe 23:13, 14 May 2012 (EDT)
- (i don't think this was ever intended to be on join us! while that was the fate of a lot of stuff from arnatq, this and "crushed by dust" were both written exclusively for that silly adventure quest game.) -Apollo (colloquia!) 23:31, 14 May 2012 (EDT)
- This is the kind of song I wish they had recorded with the Avatars. This song is bad ass and it rocks! -- 152.76.1.244 22:22, 11 October 2020 (EDT)
