Trivia/Info
- This version, referred to as the "rock version" was recorded during sessions with Joe Nicolo of the Butcher Brothers for a new rock album in 1999[1], but was shelved after the sessions collapsed[2]. The song would later evolve into the disco-themed album version through the influence of Adam Schlesinger, who helped in the production of Mink Car. John Flansburgh would later mention the Butcher Bros. sessions on Tumblr in 2024[3]: "Those sessions were essentially a demo for his label deal, and when that didn’t come through we motored on."
- Beginning in 2014, live performances of "Man, It's So Loud In Here" have since been performed again in a rock style similar to this demo, after not having been performed this way since mid-2001.
