Trivia/Info
- "Louisiana" was recorded and mixed in John Linnell's home studio, and follows the same stately theme as the rest of the State Songs tracks despite not appearing on the album. Linnell:[1]
To be honest with you, I recorded that one and mixed it in my home. I wasn't going to put it on the record. And [the record company] asked for a b-side that wasn't on the record, and that was the recording that I had available. [...] It's sort of on the demo tip, although I think it is a nice production. But like I said, I did the whole thing in my little home studio.
- This song appeared only on the vinyl "Montana" single in 1999, until its official digital release in 2021 as a downloadable/streaming track.
