Talk:Louisiana

From This Might Be A Wiki

how does one get their hands on this song (louisiana)? ive seen the montana vinyl record but have yet to see a cd, does one exist?

Sadly, this song is only available on the Montana vynl (which is especially sad for people without a record player.) - BlarJotunn

Well, I found this. I'm pretty sure it isn't actually John Linnell's Myspace, but it does have Louisiana available for download. --McBob 06:39, 13 October 2007 (UTC)

I think this is my favorite State Song. This song is absolutely great... I'm just wondering why he didn't decide to put it on the actual album. -- INeedACrane

Agreed. It was like he stood there thinking, "'Louisiana' or...'Nevada'? Y'know, I just love hearing that marching band fade away for eight minutes. 'Nevada' it is!" .__. (that's me giving the "What were you thinking?!" stare to Linnell.) --MisterMe 11:18, 25 March 2013 (EDT)
y'all are whack; nevada is rad and so are non-lp b-sides. -Apollo (colloquia!) 17:31, 25 March 2013 (EDT)
Don't worry, Apollo, it would be a real stretch to say I "h8" Nevada. In fact, the part that does have Linnell singing & playing is quite charming. It just endlessly befuddles me how there's all that extra time wasted on cars driving away when this flippin' awesome State Song could have been included. Ah well, c'est la vie. --MisterMe 22:41, 25 March 2013 (EDT)

I've just 'rediscovered' this song... Man, I love it. I think it's the best State Song

I love how early-tmbg this is.

Is there any way to confirm that Linnell recorded all the instruments on this one? I mean, he plays all of the instruments in it, it was his home studio... Hmm.--Nascarbean 97 23:35, 25 March 2013 (EDT)

Wonderful to finally hear an official version. (Mr Tuck)
