Interpretations:'85 Radio Special Thank You

From This Might Be A Wiki

Was this even played on a radio special in 1985? Dagoth Ur, Mad God (talk) 09:51, 24 September 2013 (EDT)

Some may dispute it, I'm pretty sure it was meant as a joke, considering the "lyrics" are full of silly contradictory statements, and the band didn't even release their first album until 1986. To me, it sounds like Flansburgh was just having some fun with the pitch shifter and wrote some goofy prose that would sound even goofier as the pitch oscillated up and down. --MisterMe (talk) 10:20, 24 September 2013 (EDT)
I was going to request we remove this, since it isn't an interpretation (I even moved Dagoth Ur's comment). But leave it to MisterMe to save the day by making an interpretation-ish comment! -- ;-) CJSF (talk) 10:23, 24 September 2013 (EDT)
Keep in mind they put their album-length demo out in 1985, so it is plausible this could have aired. Dagoth Ur, Mad God (talk) 10:31, 25 September 2013 (EDT)
