- TMBG embarks on a year-long joint-venture with eMusic to create TMBG Unlimited. Through this service, TMBG releases a set of 10 or so songs each month, including new and previously unreleased material, music from Dial-A-Song, live performances, and demo versions of released songs.
- A promotional sampler for the upcoming album No! is sold at some concerts in April.
- TMBG contributes 37 short songs to accompany issue 6 of Timothy McSweeney's Quarterly Concern.
- Mink Car, the band's eighth studio album, is released on September 11.
