I am Valerie. valerie2776 on the majority of the rest of the interwebs.
I first became a TMBG fan after watching the Experimental Film music video on homestarrunner.com in the summer of 2005. After that, I got Apollo 18 from the library and listened to it over and over again.
A few weeks before discovering TMBG, my mom asked me if I wanted to go to some KidsFest thing- she'd gotten free tickets from somebody. She said that They were gonna be there, and I vaguely remembered the name from the commentary on the Different Town email. I immediately envisioned some type of group like the Wiggles, with all their bright colored shirts and annoyingness. So, of course I said no. It was this show.
I was very angry at myself later for not going.
Go listen to The Mountain Goats. They freaking rock.
TMBG things I own now (in order of acquisition):
