Phil Hernandez is otherwise known as DJ ***** (Dee Jay Five Star) of The Elegant Too. Phil worked with Mono Puff and appeared in the music video for TMBG's Doctor Worm, as noted in the Direct From Brooklyn commentary. (He's the one playing the bongos in the video, though he doesn't on the actual song.) Hernandez also did some drumming and programming work on the Mink Car album.
