- This track was not produced by The Dust Brothers, "but it reflects working with [them]," according to Linnell in a Billboard.com article. "It sounds like it belongs on this record as opposed to a record from a few years ago."
- On The Bob Edwards Show, Linnell admitted that the song is political, saying that "It's just about the strong man in general" and accepting that it could describe the situation in Iraq.
- In an interview with Electronic Musician, it was revealed that the audible distortion of the vocals is due to the fact that they were recorded as MP3.
