[edit] Trivia/Info

  • The main difference between this mix and the They Might Be Giants (Album) version is that this mix uses entirely different samples for the drums and bass. Additionally, in the "I don't want to live in this world anymore" section, this version adds a bass synth that plays underneath Linnell's vocal. Overall, the instrumentation in this mix is a little more spaced out, and the mix contains more reverb.
  • The video for "Don't Let's Start" was featured on MTV/TV Guide's "100 Greatest Music Videos Ever Made" in December 1999, landing at #89.
  • About a three second clip of the video is used on VH1 in their show entitled Cheestastic Video Tricks. It was generally about tricks used to make videos seem more dramatic and they were featured under the section about "the fist pound." It was the clip where Linnell is laying on his stomach pounding the floor of that cage they are in. That was about it.
