Talk:Lullabye To Nightmares
Title
Shouldn't this be renamed "Lullabye To Nightmares" as that's what it says on the LTW liner notes? — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 07:35, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- Woah, nice catch. -CapitalQ ♫ talk ♪ 12:57, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- When I downloaded the album in 1999 the file's name was "Lulllaby to Nightmares". Note the 3 Ls. Was this a fluke for me, or did others get it that way? And is this "trivia worthy"? Mbarlowm 07:07, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
Birdland reference?
Wait, I'm confused: is this song a cover or not? If it's not, it should probably be listed on the References To Other Songs Or Musicians page, because "Lullabye to nightmares, whisper low" refers to the line "Lullaby of Birdland, whisper low" in the jazz standard "Lullaby of Birdland". - The Silver Chauffeur 02:24, April 7, 2007
Horns
I noticed that one of the horn melody things in the chorus was like one of the horn melody things in the chorus of Sleeping In The Flowers. Also the "ba ba ba ba ba" thing is like the "ba ba ba ba ba" thing in I'm All You Can Think About. Recycled Material? (though I've only heard the extended version. So things might be different.) -- Buzzmusic100 ("Keep your voice down...") 21:57, September 27, 2010
- The musical phrasing is different, though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.79.168.214 (talk) 12:45, September 28, 2010
The Giver
Is the elephants dying a reference to the Giver?--MidoFS (talk) 14:56, 8 February 2017 (EST)
- Considering this song (the original Hello the Band version) and The Giver came out the same year, that would have to be some very fast writing and recording. I'm pretty sure it's just about elephants being an animal that mourns their dead. --Self Called Nowhere (talk) 06:08, 9 February 2017 (EST)
