Why Are You Hitting Yourself? was a video podcast released throughout August 2012 to members of the 2012 TMBG Instant Fan Club. The podcast was hosted by The Avatars Of They. In each the Avatars would perform a song and a guest (usually the Green Avatar) would answer questions from "the internet" in a segment called "On the Line," which was hosted by the Blue Avatar. Blue Green Algae sponsored the podcast.
