- This song is very similar to "My Best Friend's Girl" by The Cars. The synthesizer in the alternate version and featured briefly in the Venue Songs version is very similar to that used by The Cars. Also, the guitar line starting with the lyric "You know what I mean" is almost note-for-note the same as the bass line used in "My Best Friend's Girl" starting with the lyric "Here she comes again."
- It should be noted that a shot in the music video is very similar to the cover of The Mundanes' single, which also portrays a woman sitting on the floor next to a record player and scattered records.
- David Ahuja created the video for this song. The model in the video is Amanda Fields,[1] from the long-running TV show Project Runway.
