About Me[edit]

I still remember my first exposure to TMBG's music. I was working as a DJ at my college radio station and was doing a 24-hour broadcast marathon (it was a fundraising stunt for a local charity) and played Istanbul (Not Constantinople) by a friend's request. I loved it and played it many more times in the wee hours of the morning to keep myself going (I was all alone in the studio). I was a fringe fan from then on.

I rediscovered the band in earnest in 2006. I decided I'd really like to have Istanbul (Not Constantinople) on CD so I went looking around and bought A User's Guide to They Might Be Giants: Melody, Fidelity, Quantity. That was the "beginning of the end" of life for me as I previously knew it. I was hooked. I loved each and every song. Since then I've bought every TMBG release (cd & dvd) that I've been able to get my hands on! However, my life was not complete until...

July 20, 2007 - My first ever TMBG show!!! It was really incredible (Corn Mo was the opening act)! Read all about it here: TMBG at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, Pennsylvania!
