Trivia/Info
- John Flansburgh responding to a fan question on Twitter, "I hate the way Unforgotten came out. It could have been a really good song."[1] He later elaborated on Tumblr, "Well, hated is maybe the wrong word. Disappointed or frustrated would be a better way to say it. It was made very quickly and kind of on a deadline as we had to have b-sides for an EP done. I felt like I didn’t really know how to shape it into a more complete arrangement, and the vocal performance sounds tentative. But those are the breaks."[2] In response to a request for a reworking of the song, he stated, "I do love the song, and wish there was a less rushed version of it. For a band with so much history now, I don't know know how much I want to consider revising stuff just for perfections sake. If it was a rigorous rethink, maybe."[3]
