- This song was previewed in videos recorded in laundromats by Flansburgh on September 24, 2022 and January 15, 2023, which were posted to Instagram, TikTok and Twitter.
- Debuted at a concert on May 9, 2024 at Mr. Smalls Theater in Pittsburgh. Flansburgh introduced it by saying, "This is a song that is not on any album yet, but will be on our next album." It was instead released on the band's next EP, Eyeball.
- The song was first made available through the Dial-A-Song phone line and They Might Be Giants app on January 13, 2026, two days before the release of the Eyeball EP.
- Flansburgh described the writing of this song in an interview with Paste magazine[1]:
I was in this completely abandoned, super-reverberant cement laundromat. It was the perfect place to sing, you know, because I was by myself; I was having this sort of doo-wop experience and just watching my laundry going for, like, three hours. So I put the song together there.
