Talk:I'm Def (Edit)

Can anyone with The Statue Got Me High (EP) confirm which version of this song is on it; the 1985 Demo Tape version or the edit that appears on Then? -CapitalQtalk ♪ 07:14, 20 Jun 2006 (MDT)

I already told you this, but for the benefit of others, I can confirm that it's the edit from Then. (At least on the German version of the EP, which is the version I have, it's the edit.) ~Drew

Then liner notes[edit]

Just wondering, do the Then line notes for this song constitute as incomplete? There are those parts at the beginning and the end, but those are barely audible (in fact, I didn't know they even existed until I looked at the lyics two minutes ago). They write all the other words, but only once. There are a lot of liner notes for songs that don't include repeated lyrics. Do those count? -- DidgeGuy (आ ज) 22:10, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

I don't think that counts. Do you really need to see it twice? I don't think liner notes ever have every chorus and whatnot. -Apollo. 22:15, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
Not always, I've got plenty of liner notes with all lyrics present. I'll put this song on anyway, unless it's objected on the grounds that the singing at the beginning and the end isn't clear enough. -- DidgeGuy (आ ज) 22:40, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
Well, as an addendum, because I wasn't quite clear on what you were saying before, I'm not really sure if those should be included. It's more of a sample. I dunno if that counts, either. I'm being liberal with the word "counts" here. -Apollo. 22:47, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
something that is repeated but only is written once does not count. you might as well make a page of "songs that do actually have complete lyrics word by word." it would be a lot shorter. --ant 00:12, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

Inconsistent redirects[edit]

First off, I'm Def has the only redirect discussion page I know of (to I'm Def (Edit). Why can't it just have its own? Is it standard to do this for demos? Next, the chronology page for I'm Def (Edit) links to the chronology page for I'm Def. Which one should be considered the "main" version.
