Female Voice[edit]
Anyone have the full version from the Disney CD? I'm wondering who is female singing the "Grab my boots..." line? Is it Robin? --Duke33 20:14, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- I just got the physical CD of this, and there's no obvious credit for the woman singer. Under the song, it just says "They Might Be Giants; (J. Flansburgh, J. Linnell); © 2006 Wonderland Music Company, Inc. (BMI) All Rights Reserved." —Gena 22:22, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
John's voice[edit]
John's voice was completely different than anything I've heard. Has he done a similar voice before? --Dunklekuh81 17:50, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- He's done similar voices for Mario Speaks and the O Do Not Forsake Me demo.--TVsKyle 21:49, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Another voice[edit]
Maybe I'm just crazy, but at the 'grab my boots' part, it sounds like it's Marty singing too. Anyone else hear this?--Jade 13:33, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- I agree! I was just thinking that while listening to High Five.--HerRoyalFlyness 13:57, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- Definitely Marty. And as for the other voices popping up throughout the song I think some of the Disney characters (Mickey, Daisy, etc) might be singing along in the background. --BlueCanary 16:10, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Baseball promo[edit]
I was astonished to hear a clip of this song at a Portland Sea Dogs game tonight during an on-field between-the-innings promotional event! Who knew the Giants had fans in the minor league baseball community... --MisterMe 20:55, 6 June 2012 (EDT)
Child[edit]
One of those songs for kids, that I've never cared for. Yet I'm giving it a 9, as my little girl loves it. Some of the songs, you need to listen to with a child. This one's great if you are a little one! (Mr Tuck)
Whoops[edit]
Right around the 11 or 12 second mark, you hear someone or something trip over the microphone. it's very subtle. (comment made by You&Me!!)
Robin's part[edit]
I love the instruments and production on this, and the fun breathy horns behind the part Robin Goldwasser sings. And Robin's voice sounds great! It's a shame Disney doesn't include the whole song in their videos... I can't find a single animated video that includes my favorite parts. --Nehushtan (talk) 07:02, 5 December 2021 (EST)
