Takes Two Management was the original management company for They Might Be Giants, and managed them from 1984[1] to around 1987.

Takes Two was comprised of the late[2] Skip Styles and his wife Sharon Steinbach, who managed the band until Jamie Kitman was brought in. Takes Two also managed Joshua Fried and helped with his 12" LP "Jimmy (Because My Name Is)," which was released by Atlantic Records.[3]

Bill Krauss talked about TMBG's involvement with Skip on the Miscellaneous T Facebook group in 2022:[4]

We had no contract at first and Skip wanted to get things in writing, so he called us to a meeting one night to hash out specifics. For moral and legal support, we brought my old pal Jamie Kitman, as he'd just finished law school. At the end of the meeting we all went back to my apartment to discuss next steps.

The general feeling was we didn't want to sign with Skip for a variety of reasons. What to do? After some discussion, we turned to Jamie and asked if he wanted the job. Despite never having managed a band or even aspiring to a role in the music business, he said yes.
