Steven Bernstein[1]
Steven Bernstein is a New York-based musician and composer who played trumpet on several John Henry songs. He is a prolific performer, originally getting his start by forming the band Spanish Fly with Dave Tronzo and Marcus Rojas, a group that would release an EP through John Flansburgh's Hello CD Of The Month Club. Bernstein has also played for The Lounge Lizards, a band Arto Lindsay formed.[2]
Among his many credits as a performer with other notable acts such as Laurie Anderson, Bernstein currently performs with his jazz bands Sexmob, where they perform his own arrangements of many popular songs, and the Millennial Territory Orchestra. He has also arranged pieces for artists such as Rufus Wainwright and Elton John.[3]
