Review by Lawrence Solomon:
Spin the Dial was the worst I've ever seen. There was nothing playable
on the radio. Towson/Baltimore apparently don't have stations that play much
music at 11 at night.
Drink was introduced (and written on the setlist) as "Dr. Ink," and there were more than a few people who didn't realise that "Dr. Ink" spells "Drink."
Ana Ng was played old style almost, with an actual intro, which I liked a lot better than when they start with the vocals. This was also loud and fast the whole way through. No slow or quiet first verse or anything weird like that. It made for a good opening to the show, although I was already tired by the end of Boss of Me. :)
Au Contraire has some new lyrics in the final refrain. So clearly they're still working on it. Perhaps they'll make the verses more complete, too, by the time it ends up on an album.
Statue rocked, as always, and they were having a great time playing it. I think it'll be around for a while now, as the songs they have fun with generally are.
Flans has a lot of guitar tuning issues, though. It seems his guitar just wouldn't keep its tune. Hopefully that'll be fixed by the 9:30 Show tomorrow (tonight, actually)
