This show was a benefit for the East Village venue 8BC, which closed on October 22nd.[1]
According to Iris Rose, member of performance art group Watchface, this show was the first time the group's members saw They Might Be Giants perform. The group would later become friends with the band at "8BC Nights" at the Kitchen in 1986 and would begin opening for them at Darinka in the spring.
